Quality checklist

Use this before publishing refined outputs. It’s designed to catch the most common “last mile” issues quickly.

Universal checks (all media)

  • Does it meet the destination requirements (format, size, length)?
  • Does it look/sound/read consistent with the rest of the set?
  • Did refinement introduce artifacts that are worse than the original problem?
  • Is anything sensitive/private exposed or made more readable? (see Privacy workflows)

Image

  • Edges: halos, jagged cutouts, missing fine details (hair/fur/straps)
  • Texture: not over-smoothed (“plastic”) or over-sharpened (ringing)
  • Gradients: banding and blotches
  • Text/logos: legible and not distorted

Video

  • Faces: natural texture, no uncanny flicker
  • Text overlays: no shimmering/haloing
  • Gradients: no blotchy banding in skies/walls
  • Motion: no trailing artifacts; fast motion still looks stable

Audio

  • Speech: intelligible and comfortable
  • Artifacts: no warble/metallic tone/pumping
  • Loudness: consistent across the clip
  • Background: reduced without sounding dead or gated

Text

  • Meaning: preserved; no accidental stronger/weaker claims
  • Tone: matches intent and audience
  • Correctness: names, numbers, and key terms are correct
  • Scanability: headings and bullets are easy to follow
